Speeding Arrow started up around a month ago (or more?) and went to registration, I believe, to help ease the sudden onslaught of downloaders--and to keep spammers out.
At first there was no registration. That changed a week ago. I registered and was downloading immediately. I suspect that Zephyr is overwhelmed and overtaxed, as may be the site itself.

Yes, it'a all MP3, and all from Archive.org. If you don't care for MP3, it's not for you. Speeding arrow hosts Dead only through the Keith years, and it does not have every show on it that archives used to have. But he's doing a pretty fine job and service.

The Brent stuff is on a sister site.

Archive.org
SHN/FLAC.net
E-Tree Community Tracker
GD Live.com
Nugs.net
Tunetree

Provide me with more than enough music. It's easy to DL several shows almost daily.

Those other sites might be handy if you want the shows that are streamed here in the MP-3 format. We are fast approaching the 1st anniversary of the new policy. Some people have been more than successful in finding another way to get what they wanted...

Hey Dire. I got an e-mail back from them the same day saying they'd received my registration. 2 days later I was downloading. Gotta say, despite the recent controversy, I dig having them around. I managed to hook up with a lot of goodies there that I'd been lacking.

OK, you've got me interested. I've signed up and am awaiting notification. Can't wait to see what they've got (I'm not a super-picky audiophile, mp3's work just as good form me as anything else: beggars can't be choosers)

Funny this post since i guess i am having the same problem you describe. I signed up i think 3-4 days ago and have received nothing in reply ... unless it got deleted as spam. That's always a possibility with my account. Hmmm, will have to check into this. Thanks for the reminder...

Just about everything I've found there is in MP3. And I agree: it doesn't matter a lick to me when it comes to my stereo.
